The Blaston Shoot
A day on the Blaston shoot is a day to remember. Welland Valley Game has managed the driven shoot at Blaston for eight years now, letting individual days (175-200 bird days) to parties of between 8-10 guns.
Established over 50 years ago by the late Col. Pen H. Lloyd (1905-1909), a keen shooter and former master of the Fernie Hunt, the Blaston Shoot is held on a fabulous country estate on the Leicestershire Northamptonshire border. Shooting is offered over 1,000 acres of expertly planned terrain with a mix of drives through woodland, open country and game crops.
The Blaston shoot offers a very special day, starting with a wholesome breakfast in the local pub before the first two drives, then a break for traditional elevenses followed by another two drives, We then head back to the gun room for a superb home-cooked lunch, two further drives to end the day.
